Retail Site Location

Retail Site Location Ruby Tuesday, Inc. founded in 1972 with corporate offices in Maryville, Tn., has over 930 casual dining restaurants in the United States and abroad which generated $1.4 billion in sales in 2007. Ruby Tuesday retained our services in the identification and acquisition of over fifteen restaurants locations in East Tennessee. These included sites in Knoxville, Athens, Johnson City, Morristown, Dandridge, Rockwood and Sevierville.

Approach

Ruby Tuesday's three core financial strategies are to get more from existing assets, invest wisely and prudently in new restaurants and maintain appropriate capitol structure. Working along with Ruby Tuesday real estate department personnel as well as the CEO, who approved each location; over a five year period new locations were identified using proven demographic parameters and guidelines. We also worked in partnership with local governmental bodies to gain appropriate zoning as well as civil engineers to develop the best site layout configurations.

Results

This regional expansion was spurred by Ruby Tuesday's desire to increase their brand presence after relocating their corporate office back to their roots in Maryville from Mobile, Al. Ruby Tuesday was very pleased with the results of our efforts and the expansion in the region. Overall the new restaurant locations met or exceeded sale plan.
